Overview of Course

This program helps students to work in the operation theatre as proficient technologists in the healthcare department, under the supervision and guidance of senior doctors. Technical persons in their delivery of patient care. Students learn the application of numerous diagnostic equipment for example ventilators, monitors, Defibrillators. and also patient assessment abilities. Students are delivered knowledge and skills of monitoring infection control policy in the operation theatre.

Hands on Training

• Experience of handling anaesthesia machines and ventilators,
• Student will learn to handle Surgical equipment maintenance, handling & monitoring various machine used in OT,
• Students assist anesthesiologists in the set up or use of various types of equipment used in the operation theatre,
• Student learn to monitor different machines like Pulse oximeter, Capnography, E.C.G machine, Invasive monitors, defibrillator, syringe pump, etc.

Course Outcome

• Students are able to work in the operation theatre which involves managing the patients in and out of the operation theatre, handling all the surgical instruments involving their sterilization, dressing table, arranging operation table, instrument table, anaesthesia table.
